Job purposeAs a Jr. Copywriter, you bring a variety of core creative competencies to the table, along with a hunger for developing your skill set on the fundamentals of our business. Now you're ready to push it to the next level with ideas and executions that change behavior, build our clients' business, and help you make a name for yourself too.Your workload will be a mix of creative and production creative work on our core business, while pushing the boundaries of the agency's vision to combine data and creativity in new ways. Exposure to clients will come as you build trust through solid work.As a member of a creative team, you are a born collaborator. You play well with others and can work with other agency departments, including account management, project management, development and production.Duties and responsibilitiesConcept and collaborate with creative team, including other copywriters, designers and art directorsKick-ass writing skills—that is, be able to write compelling and grammatically clean long-form website copy, personalized letters, as well as effective headlines, taglines, and calls to actionBe comfortable writing in multiple styles and for multiple formatsWork with account managers and planners to ensure creative concepts, tactics, and copy tone are on brand and strategically soundWork with producers to ensure copy is delivered within deadlines and in accordance with clients' criteriaWork with the Creative Director in all areas of creative developmentBegin to meet with and present work to clients of all levels - from junior brand managers to senior marketing clients.Comply with all AODA regulations and requirementsQualifications1-3 years working as a copywriter in an Advertising Agency settingA related Bachelors' degree, Diploma or equivalent work experienceExperience working on retail, in-store or shopper marketing projects/brandsA demonstrated ability to expand thinking to integrated channelsStrong conceptual and writing skillsProven experience working with mass advertising conceptsTeam Player. The ability to collaborate, to take constructive criticism, and to seek out and act on peer/client feedback—essential to good team chemistry and client relations.Developing presentation skillsAbility to speak about your work in an engaging mannerFully proficient in MS OfficeExcellent communication skills- verbal and writtenStrong problem-solving skillsAbility to juggle multiple projects and pro-actively manage priorities effectively The Company welcomes and encourages applications from people with visible and non-visible disabilities.
