Embedded Linux Developer Procom is searching for an experienced Embedded Linux Software Developer for full-time, permanent position in Markham, ON (ONSITE). You will be working with our client who is a leader in device networking and connectivity product development. ResponsibilitiesDevelop or port modules and assume responsibility for all code in the systems or modules involved.Document and source control all developed workTake on a technical leadership role within projectsDevelop system specifications and provide technical guidance to the team to ensure schedules and objectives are met.Quickly ramp up and become a key contributor within a team of experienced Embedded software developers.Fix issues and propose solutions for new and existing systems or modules.Stay up to speed on technical areasDesigns worked on may involve but are not limited to:New or ported device driversNew or ported Linux applicationsWeb, SNMP, GUI and other configuration modulesMicro controller based software and firmwareMandatory Skills2 positions available: 1 in the Linux user space and 1 in the Linux kernel space. Must have strong experience in one of these two areas.Minimum 5 years Linux software development experienceResponsibilities will be in line with level of experience.Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalentFluent in C/C++Exposure to one or more networking protocols, e.g. TCP/IP, UDPGood working knowledge of embedded and Real Time systemsGood problem-solving and diagnostic skills, in a fast-paced environment.Nice To Have SkillsExposure to micro-controller developmentExposure to open source applications (eg: OpenSSL)Start DateImmediateAssignment LengthPermanent, full-timeLocationMarkham, ON (ONSITE) Computer and Network Security,Technology, Information and Media
