As Senior Director, Asset Management - Hydro, Storage and Solar, you will lead a team dedicated to operations and maintenance. This team of qualified professionals will play a key role under your leadership. You will assume overall responsibility for asset management of the various hydro, solar and storage sites in operation (Canada and USA). Your main fields of action will be to foster a culture of health and safety in the workplace, while ensuring management of the financial, operational, commercial, contractual and regulatory aspects of the sites under your responsibility. The ability to meet these challenges will require a combination of management and engineering skills, and a thorough understanding of the renewable energy sector. YOUR CHALLENGES Continuously improve practices to ensure a safe and healthy work environment; Monitor the implementation and completion of training programs to ensure that our employees work safely; Monitor the best standards of human resources management practices, with a view to ensuring that our employees are mobilized and perform well; Develop budgets and ensure they are respected; Play the role of facilitator in contributing to the resolution of operational problems by providing the necessary resources; Continuously research and analyze value-creation opportunities that maximize revenues; Ensure sound management of the work of the technical teams assigned to the various sites; Monitor and adapt sites in line with new standards and legislation; Implement a strategy to maximize the energy performance of the sites under your supervision; Work with centralized departments to develop a reliability and maintenance strategy for critical equipment; Implement a risk strategy to deal with factors such as extreme weather conditions, equipment failures, etc; Develop and implement an asset management strategy to meet Boralex's objectives; Plan, organize and direct the activities of the Asset Management Directors and provide active leadership; Determine and communicate the strategic objectives of his sector and ensure development; Participate in the development of the organization's global strategies by integrating the operational aspect of his/her sector; Promote the development of team skills in line with strategic orientations and organizational objectives; Prepare and present operational information to the Asset Management Steering Committee, and advise senior management as required. REQUIREMENTS You have a university degree in engineering or an appropriate discipline. You have a minimum of ten (10) years' relevant experience in personnel management; Solid experience in team management is essential, with the ability to lead, motivate and develop multidisciplinary teams; Project management and strategic planning are also key skills; A thorough understanding of energy technologies, electromechanical systems, and industry standards is crucial; The ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders, including internal teams, regulatory bodies and local communities, is required; You are a team player with professional credibility, a sense of responsibility and the ability to work in a complex environment; You are recognized for your leadership skills and your ability to supervise teamwork; You have a well-developed sense of organization, giving you excellent operational management skills; Willing to travel in Canada and the United States on a regular basis.
