We are a Health and Safety consultancy providing advice to a range of industries. Up to this point, the business has grown through long standing client relationships and referrals. As part of our next chapter of growth, we are seeking to recruit a Chartered Health and Safety Practitioner to work in our growing consultancy team. In your consultancy work, you will be part of a small team, providing bespoke Health and Safety support to our clients. The role will involve helping clients to understand and apply good practice in health and safety. You will work independently with the support of our existing staff and will attend sites across the UK, write and review reports and provide technical advice and training. In your expert witness work, you will work independently to provide expert evidence and advice to legal professionals and to assist the courts in legal proceedings. Experience as an expert witness is not necessary as training and mentoring will be provided by our expert team. You will also receive external training to achieve the Cardiff University Bond Solon Civil Expert Certificate. Duties

  • Provide Health and Safety consultancy services to clients
  • To deliver written reports and other outputs (eg risk assessments) to a high technical standard, to budget and to timescale
  • Develop and deliver in-person and virtual training on a range of health and safety topics
  • Business development initiatives including:
  • Client and prospective client meetings
  • Networking
  • Lead generation
  • Providing technical input to marketing materials
  • Provide expert witness services to clients as required
Person Specification
  • At least five years’ experience in a consultancy practice
  • Chartered member of IOSH (or equivalent)
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to consistently produce high quality reports to budget and timescale
  • Self-motivated with excellent personal, organisational and communication skills
Salary and location
  • £50,000 + 10% on target bonus
  • 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday
  • Company pension scheme
  • 24 days annual leave plus bank holidays
The position is open to candidates throughout the UK. Our office is based in Doncaster.
