  • Our client is seeking an experienced and qualified driver to work with their Business Development team.
  • As part of their team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe efficient transportation of personnel and materials to various locations.
Responsibilities
  • Safely transport company personnel, including executives and staff, to and from designated locations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Adhere strictly to traffic rules and regulations to ensure the safety of passengers, pedestrians, and other road users.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and good condition of assigned vehicles, conducting routine inspections and reporting any issues promptly.
  • Plan efficient routes to ensure timely arrival at destinations while considering traffic conditions and other factors.
  • Provide excellent customer service, assisting with loading and unloading equipment, materials, and supplies, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and trip logs, submitting reports to management as needed.
  • Coordinate with logistics and security teams to implement security measures during transportation, particularly in high-risk areas or sensitive environments.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and discretion when interacting with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders, maintaining confidentiality and upholding the company's reputation.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety protocols, code of conduct, and ethical guidelines, at all times.
Qualifications
  • OND or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a professional driver, preferably in a similar role within Lagos or its environs.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record, demonstrating compliance with traffic laws and regulations.
  • Proficient knowledge of Lagos Road networks and routes, including alternative routes to avoid congestion and delays.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse individuals.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in recording trip logs and maintaining vehicle cleanliness.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while also functioning effectively as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated reliability and punctuality, with a commitment to meeting schedules and deadlines.
  • Must be between 35-50 years of age and reside within Lagos Island, but not beyond Ajah and Obalende.
  • Certification in defensive driving or related training programs.
  • Familiarity with vehicle maintenance procedures and basic troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of coordinate ethics and protocols for professional driving services.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
