Job Description - VP, Technology Controller, Group Finance (WD63142) Job Description Business Function Group Finance aims to deliver world-class standards in reporting, financial planning and finance processes. We provide insights and analyses that help the bank make sound business decisions – whether in the areas of product development or customer profitability. We also provide capital management, business planning, forecasting, and tax and accounting advisory services. The bank is also a certified Accredited Training Organisation (ATO) for the Singapore Qualification Programme by the Singapore Accountancy Commission and an Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Approved Employer. Responsibilities Partnering across our Technology platforms, you will drive day to day operational and financial responsibilities of this portfolio, in ensuring the fundamentals are in order, including but not limited to financial processes, governance, risks and controls. You will also be a key stakeholder in helping drive the transformation of Finance Technology business processes. You will be heavily involved in business partnering with Technology & Operations (T&O) senior management, mainly the Platform Heads in the execution of viable plans in achieving the organizational goals.

  • Pro-active partnering role as a trusted financial advisor to the businesses to resolve strategic and operational challenges.
  • Support the implementation of process changes and the change agenda within the Technology Finance team
  • Preparation of financial performance reports and insightful commentaries to track and drive business performance and enable strategic and operational decisions
  • Conduct monthly review meetings with senior Platform stakeholders and Finance Leads
  • Support the Platform Heads and the CFO in preparing the quarterly Business Review with the CEO
  • Performing month end close processes to ensure accuracy and completeness of our financials
  • Work closely with countries to review monthly financial performance, as well as investigate variances and identify business risks and opportunities.
  • Ownership and accountability for timeliness, data accuracy and process adaptation as needed in delivery of various Regional Reporting data sets and reports to various stakeholders.
  • Develop and put together cohesive presentations for internal and external forums.This will require active facilitation and teamwork across businesses and functional units.
  • Actively contribute to a key strategic agenda for 2024 for Tech Core Markets
  • Actively participate in the learning and sharing of best practices.
Requirements
  • Qualification & Experience
  • Experienced finance professional with 3 to 5 years of experience in banking technology finance
  • Knowledge of products, processes, technology systems, and finance databases
  • Solid business acumen with deep expertise in managing financial processes and controllership teams including financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and project investment management/ prioritization.
  • Deeply data driven with the ability to work with large data sets
  • Project or Program management experience
  • Operationally hands-on, with a strategic mindset
  • Thrive on working in a fast-paced environment with transformation at the centre
  • Proficiency in Excel, Powerpoint
  • Modelling skills, good command of Tableau and Python is a plus
  • Teamwork and Drive
