About The Client Our client is a well-established conglomerate business in Hong Kong. As part of business expansion and strategy, they are now looking for a General Manager, Human Resources to take lead of one of their key subsidiaries. About The Role Reporting into the Managing Director, and a functional report to the Group Chief People officer, you will manage the HR function of the designated business unit, acting as the top people strategist within the business. You will provide creative and insightful solutions to critical HR issues and advise other members of the executive team accordingly. - Building the HR function of the organisation. - Partner with management to address day-to-day HR operational issues such as employee relations, compensation reviews, escalated benefits issues, performance management and training - Playing a role in the strategic deliberations of the executive team. - Supervising and leading the HR team in creating an inviting and cohesive employee experience. - Implement and manage compliance efforts with all the employment laws and regulations that govern the company relating to all aspects of the employee life cycle - Act as an employee champion and change agent by anticipating HR-related needs and delivering value added services for the benefit of the employees. - Providing insightful crisis management advice when required. - Maintain an effective level of business literacy including company goals, mission, financial position, strategy, competition, technology and culture. - Investigate claims of misconduct and escalates to legal and security team as required. - Maintaining current knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation to ensure regulatory compliance. Identifies trends that could impact the organisation objectives. - Ensuring that the organisation's values are reflected in people-oriented decisions - Driving the change management of the organisation. Requirements - Degree holder in Business Administration, Human Resources or relevant disciplines - Proven experience in senior HR leadership roles, managing and supporting the growth of an agile and fast-growing business (ideally with startup experience building policies and framework from scratch) - Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills - Leadership and team management experience, and the ability to build and lead high-performing HR teams - Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills - Ability to adapt to changing workforce trends and drive innovation in HR practices Click " Apply Now " to apply for this position or call Christina Lau at +852 3180 4934 f or a confidential discussion.
