As Medical Science Liaison (MSL), Cardiovascular your core focus will be to maximise Amgen’s value proposition through first-class medical and scientific engagement including projects, services, scientific programs, and expertise within the Cardiovascular area ( hypercholesterolemia and hyperlipidemia ). Based in Sydney , your territory covers NSW/ACT/SA/TAS . As part of a dynamic cross functional team, you are given autonomy to build relationships and make a difference with the best and brightest in the field with therapies that bring hope and the potential to change lives. This is a full-time, 12-month contract , field-based role (face to face and virtual engagement) with travel around 60%, involving some weekend, evening work and interstate travel. Responsibilities include:
  • Engage with healthcare stakeholders to educate and communicate clinical, economic and scientific data to advance the scientific platform aligned with Amgen’s goals and objectives
  • Execute scientific engagement plans according to annual MSL goals and metrics
  • Support speaker training as requested and ensure speakers are updated on new data
  • Participate in project teams that support MSL strategies and tactics
  • Lead and support congress activities aligned with strategy
  • Maintain clinical acumen and expertise and timely completion of assigned training. May serve as a training lead.

  • Minimum two years’ experience as an Medical Science Liaison essential, ideally in the Cardiovascular therapeutic area
  • Doctoral or Master’s degree in Sciences
  • Understanding of the clinical, hospital environment and patient journey in cardiovascular disease management
  • Medical/scientific research and clinical study management/conduct experience in the cardiovascular therapeutic area
  • Knowledge of regulatory affairs, drug safety, legal and compliance environment
  • Ability and Willingness to travel as required by role requirements
  • Valid driver’s licence, work rights and residency in Australia essential
