- A Day In The Life
- Perform daily Quality Control (QC) inspections using approved Quality Assurance (QA) standards and procedures
- Work with shop employees to ensure approved processes and workmanship procedures are followed to industry and customer requirements
- Work with shop employees to ensure materials and products conform to industry and customer requirements
- Identify and document non-conformances (NCRs) and provide input for corrective actions (CARs)
- Assist in the investigation of customer and supplier issues and help provide corrective action plans required
- Assist in the development of SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and implement in the shop when required
- Assist in the maintenance of QA/QC data and publish reports describing statistics available daily, weekly, and monthly or as required
- Assist in off-site inspections (projects) and/or with vendors when required
- Perform other activities that may be assigned by the QA/QC Manager

- What We Are Seeking
- Minimum 3 years hands-on of QA/QC inspection experience
- Training and education on Quality Assurance processes and Lean Manufacturing processes
- Ability to read shop drawings and blueprints as they relate to fabrication and design
- Knowledge of Glazing and Metal Panel manufacturing processes is a plus
- Knowledge of inspection and measurement tools used for inspections of materials such as glass, extrusions, and composites
- Must be willing to work on the Shop Floor – this is a shop-based role that spends most of the time on the shop floor
- Must be willing to work weekends and overtime when required
- Above average level knowledge of MS Office applications
- Ability to work unsupervised and with a team in a fast-paced environment
