Graphic Artist (Layout Specialist)

Overview:  We are seeking a talented Graphic Artist with a specialization in layout design to join our dynamic team. As a Graphic Artist specializing in layout, you will play a pivotal role in transforming client concepts into visually appealing and print-ready designs.  Key Responsibilities:

• Translate client’s project requirements and marketing objectives into creative strategies, designs and concepts.
• Create and maintain digital asset libraries, including logos, images, and templates, to streamline design workflows and ensure brand consistency.
• Develop creative concepts and layouts for a variety of print materials, including but not limited to brochures, flyers, posters, business cards, and packaging designs.
• Utilize industry-standard software such as Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) to create and manipulate layouts, typography, and graphics.
• Apply design principles to enhance the visual appeal, readability, and effectiveness of printed materials.
• Ensure that all designs are print-ready and adhere to printing specifications, including colour profiles, resolution, and bleed.
• Collaborate with production teams to ensure seamless transition from design to final print output.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines and deliver exceptional results.
• Maintain a keen eye for detail, ensuring all designs adhere to brand guidelines and printing specifications.
• Follow up on customer inquiries and requirements to facilitate the sales process, providing timely and personalized assistance to address any questions or concerns.

Requirements:

• Minimum of a Diploma or Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
• Proficiency in graphic design software, including Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
• Strong understanding of design principles, typography, colour theory, and layout techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients and team members.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and problem-solve creatively.
