Head of Finance, Regional Foundation

About Our Client Our client is a regional foundation that is trying to expand its footprints and and influence across Asia in one of the hottest topics in ESG arena - energy transition. Given their ongoing initiatives and development plans coupled with the maturing ecosystem as backdrop, they are looking for a seasoned head of finance to join the established team to help drive business strategies. Job Description Reporting directly to the Group CEO, this is a newly created Head of Finance where you will play a key role in overseeing the financial strategies for this up-and-coming yet impactful organisation. Apart from the day-to-day finance and accounting matters that you will be well supported by a solid finance and accounting team, you will work closely with other divisions spreading across in different regions in APAC (ranging from strategic partnership, program management and granting team etc) to collaborate in order to ensure that the financial planning and projection, budgeting and forecast will be all aligned to the programmatic and organisational goal. You will be the core focal point to manage cash-flow and potential investment projects. At times, you may also be required to interact with external parties (e.g. funders/donors and partners) on presenting on the finance-related matters. The Successful Applicant To succeed in the role, you should be a finance leader ideally with respective accounting qualification. Apart from the basic accounting and finance fundamentals, solid experience in FP&A, strategic planning and investment/valuation will be critical given the nature of organisation. You should be able to possess your track record or at least understanding about the ecosystem of non-profit/foundation world while demonstrating your passion in topics like ESG, energy transition, renewable energy etc. On-the-ground Asian experience is important and you should be an individual who is flexible to different working culture and comfortable working in a flat start-up nature. Prior start-up work experience will be preferred and you should be a strong collaborator with great flexibility and ideally with experience in building up system and policies from scratch. Last but not least, given the role is required to be alongside with other management team to engage external stakeholders at times, outstanding presentation skills (both verbal and written) are critical.
