Position: Senior Sustainability and Environmental Strategy Consultant Location: United Kingdom (Flexible/Remote Working Options Available) About Us: We are a leading sustainability consulting firm committed to driving positive environmental and social change across industries. Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Sustainability and Environmental Strategy Consultant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of expertise in environmental policy, ESG frameworks, and sustainability strategies to help our clients navigate and address complex environmental challenges. Key Responsibilities: · Develop and implement comprehensive sustainability and environmental strategies aligned with the SDGs, including ESG and EHS advisories. · Conduct Environmental, Social, and Human Rights Due Diligence processes. · Analyze and ensure compliance with environmental policy, legal, and regulatory frameworks. · Lead qualitative and quantitative research on environmental issues, providing behavioural insights for decision-making and engagement in pro-environmental behaviours. · Facilitate stakeholder engagement and manage conflicts to build consensus and foster collaborative solutions. Required Qualifications and Experience: · Master's degree in Environmental Studies, Sustainability, or related field. An MBA in Project Management is highly desirable. · Extensive experience (10+ years) as a consultant, advisor, and auditor in Environment, Health, Safety, and Sustainability across diverse industry segments. · Proven track record in developing and executing environmental and sustainability strategies, policy analysis, and compliance. · Experience with international standards such as ISO 14001, ISO 45001, SA 8000, AA1000· Fluent in English, with additional language skills (eg French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese) an advantage. · Excellent research, data analysis, and stakeholder management skills. · Demonstrated ability to work independently as a contractor or freelancer, with a strong portfolio of projects in environmental consulting.
