Apply now Job no: 500313 Work type: Permanent Location: South Brisbane Categories: Allied Health About the role The Mater Health Physiotherapy Department is seeking a Physiotherapist to join our Mothers, Women’s and Pelvic Health team in a permanent, full-time position. Members of the Mothers’, Women’s & Pelvic Health Physiotherapy team provide specialist services to inpatients and outpatients across the continuum of perinatal and pelvic health care. Over 10,000 mothers give birth at the Mater Mothers and Mater Mothers Private Hospitals every year. In this role , you will provide patient centred, evidence based clinical care in various caseloads including ; antenatal / postnatal obstetric care and pelvic health care (including appropriate MSK components ) , in an inpatient, outpatient, and group education setting Please note this role will also involve weekend and evening class rosters as required. Salary range: $37.13-$54.43 (HP3) per hour plus superannuation and salary packaging What you'll be doing. Typical tasks of the role include:
- Undertake routine clinical practice within established clinical protocols
- Apply increasing clinical judgement to more complex cases under clinical practice supervision
- Provide delegation, supervision, training and support to less experienced health practitioners, allied health assistants, students, support staff and volunteers
- Contribute to the development of clinical practices, procedures and protocols within professional and multidisciplinary teams
- Identify, develop and participate in quality and service improvement activities to continually improve clinical services and patient outcomes
- Actively participate in professional and multidisciplinary teams, and liaise with patients, their families/carers and external agencies
- Participate in continuing professional development activities to further develop clinical practice and expertise
- You may be required to work across different Mater facilities, services and/or sites as required by the organisation
- Broad experience working in antenatal and postnatal obstetric care
- Strong knowledge and skills in the area of Pelvic Health assessment and treatment
- Eligibility to receive a Medicare provider number
- Post graduate training and experience in Obstetrics, Women’s and Pelvic Health
- A demonstrated ability to provide exceptional Physiotherapy clinical services commensurate with level, and to manage a varying caseload day to day, including provision of an appropriate clinical handover as required
- Demonstrated attributes of solutions focus, flexibility and resilience
- Demonstrated clinical practice and application of clinical judgement in the provision of high quality, evidence based, patient centred care
- Effective communication skills and demonstrated ability to work co-operatively with professional and multi-disciplinary teams, patients and carers to achieve optimal outcomes
- Flexibility to work across different Mater facilities, services and/or sites as required by the organisation
