The IT Business Specialist in this role provides strategic services to support the requirements of the business partner leaders, including Process compliance, Process improvement, application convergence and continuous communication. The IT Business Specialist is the bridging instance between the businesses, functions, sales and service geographies and the Clients IT function. Key tasks are to ensure that the Business objectives are supported and enabled by IT (Projects and programs), that IT works according to expectations (Operational Excellence) that the business is satisfied with Clients IT services and solutions and that the costs are in line with the targets. Requirements
- Take leadership for IT account management of a portion of a business and/or function
- Ensure operations performance of IT Tools and manage escalations
- Support the business with optimal use of current IT tools, monitor and drive compliance
- Execute process and IT tool assessments, training and compliance verification
- Drive and monitor (master) data solutions and business change aspects for IT programs
- Ensure coverage of all operational IT services by available Service Level Agreements and related service levels meeting the business requirements on behalf of the business.
- Knowledge of the impact of the service delivered on specific business process or generic service
- Knowledge of the effects of changing demands on the IT solution
- Content knowledge of functional IT domain and delivered IT solutions
- Monitoring and reporting to own organization and stakeholders
- Drive process improvements with users, process experts and IT.
- Advise and drive decision making process in change advisory board meetings.
- Understands the business impact of different solutions and can assess and communicate the tradeoffs between business needs, technology requirement, costs and risk
- Prepare plans and manage backlog of business requests including prioritization and business cases to support
- Supports & co-creates plans from ITBPs
- Provide suggestions for business process improvements and better usage and ways of working with new IT solutions.
- Solves specific problems independently together with IT
- Objectives of action are defined by guidelines and policies but some freedom is permitted in achieving end results.
- Working independently on special topics or leading small efforts
- Provides guidance and knowledge sharing with other junior IT Business Specialists
- Bachelor’s degree Level
- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in a related domain of business knowledge/expertise or IT solution background.
- Good at stakeholder management with empathy, solid communication and written skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, strong team player
- Independent and self-motivated
- Agile Practices / Project Management will be advantages
- Team player
- Ability to manage challenging situations and focus on the desired outcome
- Work closely with key user community
- To coordinate and communicate with the users to understand the issue/ enhancement reported.
- 1-2 years of experience in designing and developing data visualization, dashboards and reports using Qliksense, other BI Tools
- A good grasp of technologies in Data analytics, Information and Data Management will be advantageous
