Asset Manager, Renewable Energy - Wind. Remote or Hybrid working (Stockbridge, Edinburgh). Excellent & negotiable salary, dependent on experience. Locogen are looking for an Asset Manager (AM) to join our AM team and focus on wind energy. The purpose of our Asset Management team is to proactively manage our client’s renewable energy assets ensuring they operate effectively and efficiently whilst maximising their profits. Locogen are driving the transition to a world powered 100% by renewables. We’re an internationally recognised and award-winning expert in facilitating the development, construction and operation of utility scale low carbon assets and renewable energy systems for our partners and clients. We are a flexible company with core hours of 10-4 and accommodating to people’s personal and caring responsibilities. Key duties and accountabilities of our position. Technical: • Take a leading technical role in the performance analysis and operational management of renewable energy assets in accordance with our operational manual. • Responsible for the successful delivery of the AM team services which include: SCADA and performance monitoring; reporting; regular site inspections; managing O&M providers; effectively responding to faults and complaints; managing operational contracts; and providing operation control according to industry best practice standards. • Provide guidance to the AM team members and technical support to clients and contractors. • Review and assess the performance of asset’s, identifying root causes of potential underperformance and recommending cost effective solutions for our client. • Analyse performance from operational assets against contracted warranties and guarantees using best practice industry methods, report on performance to our clients and recommend technical solutions to improve performance (where possible) to maximise returns for our customers. • Lead in the development of innovative technical solutions to improve performance from operational assets to exceed our clients’ expectations and ensure Locogen are at the forefront of renewable energy asset management best practice. • Maintain the highest levels of health and safety standards within the team and across our operational assets. Stakeholder Management: • Act as the main point of contact for key stakeholders (clients, contractors, landowners, local authorities, utility representatives and residents) for the assets that you manage and support the team with the assets they manage (where required). • Act on behalf of key clients and portfolios; providing oversight as to project and commercial performance. Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to external stakeholders. • Manage successful onboarding with existing and new clients and maintain in-depth knowledge of client operations and requirements. Strategy: • Assist in developing the AM team strategy and the action plan to deliver growth in the business unit. • Assist the Head of Department (HoD) to deliver on the plan and report on progress. HR: • Build successful relationships with a network of contractors and consultants across the country and manage these contractors and consultants to ensure we deliver our AM service at our high standards across the country. Finance and accounting: • Provide appropriate support to the HoD, Commercial AM and Financial Analyst in ensuring the commercial success and profitability of the division. The experience that we are looking for someone to have. • An undergraduate or postgraduate degree in an engineering related subject. • Appropriate health and safety certification (e.g. CITB, SMSTS, Working at heights, etc). • Asset management experience in the renewable energy sector, with a speciality in either wind or solar asset management. • Strong understanding and demonstrable experience of solar and/or wind plant performance analysis. • Knowledge of SCADA systems and data interfaces. • Strong commercial awareness and a deep understanding of the commercial terms of renewable energy asset contracts, including PPAs, EPC contracts, warranties, performance guarantees, etc. About Locogen.
