We are looking for an enthusiastic General Manager to lead the team at our brand-new cafe in Lincoln’s Inn Fields, opening in the Spring of 2024! Pear Tree Cafe Lincoln’s Inn Fields will be a newly refurbished 150 cover independent all-day caferestaurant set in the middle of this stunning central London park. We have an immediate vacancy for a self-motivated and well-organised General Manager to lead the team. Whilst the kitchen will serve menus of seasonal and innovative breakfasts, brunches, light lunches and snacks, the cafe floor will offer bespoke-blend coffees, house made snacks and pastries for both dine-in and takeaway customers. It will open from 8.00am until dusk and extend its hours and offering for summer evenings with informal park dining. Pear Tree Cafe opened their first cafe in 2016 and quickly built a fantastic reputation in Battersea Park, and in 2021 we launched our second site on Clapham Common. Our third cafe in Lincoln’s Inn Fields will continue providing our signature approach to London’s park cafe scene. As GM, you will be responsible for all aspects of the day to day running of your restaurant, including: • Managing and training the team of up to 20 staff • Food and beverage service • Driving sales • Customer care and quality assurance • Cashing up and G.P. • Health, Safety and Hygiene • Compliance with statutory regulations and legislation • Promoting the goals of the organisation on a daily basis with each employee Required skills and experience: • Minimum of 2 years as a restaurant manager in a similar unit • Relevant and competent barista skills • Boundless energy and enthusiasm • Up to date with Epos software and online ordering • Strong team leader • Customer focused • Financially aware We are looking for an enthusiastic and personable professional GM, capable of running the daily restaurant operations and delivering a relaxed yet professional dining experience, ensuring the business is run efficiently and that sales targets are met. You must be comfortable taking direction from the business owners and be able to operate as a member of a management team, working to the same end goals, with customer experience being paramount.
