An executive recruiter is looking for a Head of Investment (Merger & Acquisition). To be eligible for this role, you will require:

  • Diploma or Degree in Finance / Accounting / Business Administration or related field.
  • Possess a good communication skill in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite such as Word, Excel and Power Point.
Minimum 18 – 20 years of working experience and possess the following:
  • Strong financial analysis and modelling skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting and analysis tools, such as Excel, financial databases, and reporting software.
  • Experience in performing valuations using methodologies such as discounted cash flow and market comparable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with corporate strategy, sustainability and corporate governance improvements.
  • Experience with M&A and/or Corporate Finance is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with the venture capital industry, start-up ecosystems, and entrepreneurial finance is a plus.
Your responsibilities will be: Merger & Acquisition
  • To coordinate and execute the full cycle of M&A activities, including opportunity targeting and evaluation, primary/confirmatory due diligence, deal execution, and integration.
  • Staff and manage deal teams, including onboarding and oversight of external advisors and coordination with internal stakeholders (legal, finance, accounting).
  • Business case development and strategic analyses in support of acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic alliances.
  • Financial modelling, analysis and budgeting.
  • Strategy assessment and associated research for specific inorganic strategies.
  • Presentation development for C-suite executive & board-level communication.
  • To support development and implementation of the inorganic strategic investment strategy, operational playbook, and guidelines in close coordination with senior leadership.
  • Project work planning and coordination with internal and external constituencies.
  • Active monitoring and reporting of industry news and trends.
  • Supporting the development of junior team members.
  • Oversee portfolio management of investments, including monitoring performance and making recommendations for senior leadership and the Board.
  • To perform other duties as required.
Business Development
  • In coordination with business-development teams, identifies, qualifies, and manages capture activities for opportunities, particularly with new clients or in new sectors.
  • To develops and supports relationships with key partners, existing and potential clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Researches and develops long-term partnerships with other firms, particularly in new sectors and with new clients.
  • To contributes to new business efforts including, but not limited to, capturing, leading, coordinating, writing, or budgeting proposals.
