Job Description As a Systems Administrator , you will take on a pivotal role in managing and maintaining diverse environments, encompassing both on-premise and cloud solutions, with a specific focus on AWS, GCP, and Azure platforms. What do you need to succeed?
- Demonstrated expertise in managing both on-premises and cloud environments, especially AWS. Experience with other cloud providers such as GCP and Azure is a plus.
- Proficiency in automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, or Chef) and scripting languages (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
- Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and hands-on experience with security implementations.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools, containerization, and orchestration technologies.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform is a plus.
- Knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, cloud networking services, and on-premises network management.
- Expertise in designing and implementing high-availability architectures and disaster recovery plans for both on-premises and cloud environments. Database administration experience with both relational and NoSQL databases in a hybrid environment.
- Proven system troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues promptly.
- Experience in developing and implementing backup and recovery strategies, focusing on data integrity and compliance.
- Solid experience in updating and managing Active Directory services, including user authentication, authorization, and domain security.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Commitment to continuous learning and potentially holding relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Certified Kubernetes Administrator).
- Manage and maintain both on-premise and cloud environments, particularly AWS, GCP, and Azure.
- Implement and enhance automation processes using tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef to streamline configuration management across hybrid infrastructure.
- Design, implement, and monitor security measures to safeguard our systems and data in both on-premise and cloud environments.
- Utilize scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) for task automation, workflow improvements, and system troubleshooting.
- Perform system troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues promptly, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
- Develop and implement robust backup and recovery strategies for both on-premise and cloud-based systems, focusing on data integrity and compliance.
- Work on containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform for scalable and repeatable infrastructure deployment.
- Configure and optimize networking components, including on-premise networks, VPCs, and SDN principles.
- Design and implement high-availability architectures and disaster recovery plans for both on-premise and cloud environments.
- Manage and optimize databases, ensuring data security, and implementing backup strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, communicate effectively, and provide documentation for processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, actively participating in continuous learning and potentially obtaining relevant certifications.
