PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

 

Provide technical support and assistance to users within an G+D, ensuring the smooth functioning of our organization's technological infrastructure, which is integral to its operations.

 

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES):

 

 

  • Manage user accounts, including creating, modifying, and deleting accounts as needed. Ensure appropriate access permissions are granted according to company policies.

  • Identify and resolve network connectivity issues, including troubleshooting wired and wireless network connections, routers, switches, and firewalls.

  • Assist in the development of training materials and documentation to help users understand IT systems and best practices. Provide training and support to users as needed.

  • Support IT projects such as system upgrades, migrations, and deployments. Assist with planning, testing, and implementation tasks

  • Keep track of IT assets and inventory, including hardware, software licenses, and peripherals. Assist with procurement and asset management processes as needed.

  • Ensure compliance with IT policies, procedures, and regulations. Help enforce security policies and best practices to protect company data and systems.

  • Stay informed about new technologies, trends, and best practices in IT. Continuously update skills and knowledge through training and self-study.

  • Assist remote users with technical issues via phone, email, or remote desktop tools. Provide clear instructions and guidance to resolve problems efficiently.

  • Work closely with other members of the IT team to provide comprehensive support and ensure the overall success of IT operations.

  • Document IT procedures, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions to build a knowledge base for future reference.

 

 

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Proficiency in basic computer hardware and software troubleshooting.

  • Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux.

  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.

  • Understanding of common software applications like Microsoft Office Suite, email clients, web browsers, etc.

  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.

  • Ability to set up and configure computer systems, printers, and other peripherals.

 

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (if applicable).

  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP).

EXPERIENCE:  

 

  • Technical Support Experience

  • Customer Service Skills

  • Software and Hardware Knowledge

  • Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving Abilities

  • Teamwork and Collaboration
