Job details
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Provide technical support and assistance to users within an G+D, ensuring the smooth functioning of our organization's technological infrastructure, which is integral to its operations.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES):
Manage user accounts, including creating, modifying, and deleting accounts as needed. Ensure appropriate access permissions are granted according to company policies.
Identify and resolve network connectivity issues, including troubleshooting wired and wireless network connections, routers, switches, and firewalls.
Assist in the development of training materials and documentation to help users understand IT systems and best practices. Provide training and support to users as needed.
Support IT projects such as system upgrades, migrations, and deployments. Assist with planning, testing, and implementation tasks
Keep track of IT assets and inventory, including hardware, software licenses, and peripherals. Assist with procurement and asset management processes as needed.
Ensure compliance with IT policies, procedures, and regulations. Help enforce security policies and best practices to protect company data and systems.
Stay informed about new technologies, trends, and best practices in IT. Continuously update skills and knowledge through training and self-study.
Assist remote users with technical issues via phone, email, or remote desktop tools. Provide clear instructions and guidance to resolve problems efficiently.
Work closely with other members of the IT team to provide comprehensive support and ensure the overall success of IT operations.
Document IT procedures, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions to build a knowledge base for future reference.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
Proficiency in basic computer hardware and software troubleshooting.
Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Knowledge of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.
Understanding of common software applications like Microsoft Office Suite, email clients, web browsers, etc.
Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
Ability to set up and configure computer systems, printers, and other peripherals.
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (if applicable).
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP).
