This includes financial planning and analysis, accounting, tax, treasury, risk management, and shareholder relations. The CFO is also responsible for providing strategic guidance to senior management and for ensuring the financial stability and growth of the organisationKey Responsibilities:Develop and implement financial strategies and plans around technology, investment, and performance that support the organisation's overall goals and objectives.Develop and provide direction on investment strategies by considering cash and liquidity risks.Oversee all financial reporting and analysis of manufacturing plants' performance, inventory controls and accounting processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards.Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures and monitor their effectiveness.Assist the Audit and Risk Committee manage the organisation's risk exposure and ensure that appropriate controls are in place.Manage the preparation of budgets, financial projections, and other financial reports, and provide regular updates on financial performance to senior management and the board of directors.Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including shareholders, bankers, SARS and employees.Ensure compliance with all tax regulations.Provide strategic and operational support to business units and support functions.Manage the organisation's cash treasury function and ensure adequate liquidity.Review of commercial agreements to ensure they align with the organisation's financial objectives and interests.Act as a trusted advisor to senior management, providing financial expertise and guidance to support decision-making.Qualifications and Experience:Professional qualification - CA (SA).A minimum of 10 years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related field, with at least 5 years of experience at a senior leadership level in a manufacturing environment.SAP or similar ERP experience.Experience in environmental and mining legislation would be an advantage.Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax laws.Proven track record of leading financial functions, including financial planning and analysis, accounting, tax, treasury, and risk management.Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate teams.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address financial risks and opportunities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to a range of stakeholders.High level of integrity, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.Ability to work in a high-pressured environment and manage multiple tasks and priorities.Ability to be hands on with high attention to detail.Remuneration:Compensation package will be commensurate with experience and qualificationsPlease Note:Should you not be contacted within a month, consider your application unsuccessful
