Operations Financial Manager

Fruitways is an agri-business that specialises in the growing, packing and marketing of apples and pears to retailers, traders and wholesalers around the globe.OPERATIONS FINANCIAL MANAGERWe have an exciting career opportunity for a self-disciplined, determined and confident individual who will perform a supporting role to our Packing Services business units. Your ability to work independently and accurately in a pressurized environment as well as building interpersonal relationships will be advantageous. Reporting to the Financial Director, you will be required to travel between the three operational sites in the Grabouw/Vyeboom area with your base office in Molteno, Glen Elgin.Responsibilities:Ensure compliance with Group Finance objectives, translating them into efficient operational business processes.Coordinate timely and professional feedback to customers, maintaining effective communication with Group Finance.Establish action plans for financial and risk management, consulting stakeholders to ensure strategic alignment.Analyse financial information and propose solutions for business process improvements and project analysis requests.Interpret financial data, adjusting forecasts, aligning critical volume drivers, and reporting findings to stakeholders.Develop and introduce processes, financial models, and measurable targets to achieve business objectives.Maintain and improve monthly management packs, evaluate reports, and assist in budgeting and forecasting.Review revenue calculation, cashflow forecasts, Capex budget, and conduct ad hoc financial modelling.Review internal controls, propose improvements, and regularly assess financial and operational risks.Manage a small team, providing guidance, fostering collaboration, and identifying and developing talent.Requirements:BCom Management Accounting Degree or relevant accounting qualification with CIMA, SAIPA or similar 5+ years relevant experience post articles, preferably within a production environment2+ years minimum management experienceThorough financial and corporate governance knowledgeProven understanding of interrelationship between financial and operational processesStrong financial modelling skillsAdvanced Excel skillsThe successful candidate needs a good sense for attention to detail, project management skills, written and verbal communication, ability to maintain internal and external stakeholder relations Please note that the position will be filled in alignment with the Groups Employment Equity requirements.By submitting your application, you are giving The Fruitways Group implicit consent to the storage and processing of your personal information.Internal Applications please send your CV to the recruitment mailbox.Applications closing date:21 February 2024
