Legací Power invests in and develops cheaper cleaner power... faster! We create value by de-risking investments and developments through the application of our industry expertise and experience while mobilising our partners and networks in Activities of Advisory, Consultancy, Products & Technology, and Resources across the energy value-chain of Generation, Transmission & Distribution, and Energy Management. The Role The Supply Manager role has hands-on responsibility for all strategic sourcing, procurement and purchasing, interfacing with Engineering in issuing and evaluating RFQs, and Project Management/Operations in addressing commercial issues and negotiating sub-supplier contracts, pursuing cost reduction opportunities and overall supplier management for the solar photovoltaic business. Responsibilities Defining process and procedures for strategic sourcing, and project procurement and purchasing.Developing project procurement strategies and securing efficiencies in alignment with project strategy.With the support of Engineering, identifying and qualifying key commodity sub-suppliers/manufacturers as well as project sub-suppliers for all solar photovoltaic (pv) project scope. Issuing RFQs, reviewing, analyzing and clarifying quote packages from sub-suppliers, negotiating sub-supplier contract terms and conditions realizing cost reduction opportunities while maintaining required specifications and/or quality, issuing POs for stock as well as for projects, and managing and expediting sub-supplier delivery.Work with Quality Management to assure quality and compliance with all applicable standards.Develop project material/equipment management/tracking processes and tools in liaison with project management and all other interested stakeholders.Develop material/equipment handling, storage and preservation processes and tools in liaison with Quality Management and Logistics Management.Build, mentor, develop, manage and lead sourcing, procurement, and purchasing team as necessary to support rapid business ramp up.Apply "lean" principles and identify other sourcing efficiencies via benchmarking, competitive quotes, resourcing, etc.Maintain day-to-day sub-supplier relationships and be the point of contact for all supplier commercial issues. Qualifications & Requirements BSc degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or Material Engineering, or Supply Chain Management degree and/or equivalent experience or evidence of exceptional ability and knowledge of the solar pv industry.Five (5) years of progressive experience in a project procurement/purchasing environment - MV/LV electrical equipment, homebuilder electrical installations, roofing supplier, or related industry participant experience may be advantageous.Good understanding of solar pv systems, MV/LV systems, roofing systems, materials, installation process, and lifecycle.Highly analytical and entrepreneurial self-starter with the ability to adapt, improvise and solve problems on the fly.Strong organizational habits and well developed ability to work independently on multiple tasks and projects, with various teams including engineers and supply chain personnel.Strong commercial awareness and good negotiation skill supported by well-honed written and verbal communication, and strong spreadsheet and word processing skills.Team player and with strong interpersonal skills. The position is responsible to the Directors and is a unique opportunity for a hungry, entrepreneurial supply chain professional, keen to develop and grow in an innovative environment and game changing energy business. For a confidential discussion, please email the Recruitment Manager with a covering Letter and concise CV via info@legacipower.com . We look forward to hearing from you. Legací Powerwww.legacipower.com Energise tomorrow… today!  Job Type: Professionals (>5 years of work experience)
