About the Job:
If you are into troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues, and assisting end-users with technical problems then this role is for you.
Job Duties:
Provide technical support to end-users, addressing hardware, software, and network-related issues.
Diagnose and troubleshoot technical problems, both in person and remotely.
Monitor IT systems to ensure optimal performance, identify issues, and implement solutions.
Monitor SIEM systems for abnormal activities.
Perform routine maintenance tasks, including updates, patches, and backups.
Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software components, including operating systems and applications using mobile device management and scripting
Education and Experience Required:
2 - 3 years experience in a similar role
Proven experience in technical support, IT operations or a related role.
A qualification in information systems, business administration, computer studies or similar is an advantage
Troubleshooting and issue resolution
Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, AWS Cloud Practitioner are a plus
Proven experience in technical support, IT operations or a related role.
Strong knowledge of hardware, software, and network troubleshooting.
System Monitoring and Maintenance
Familiarity with macOS and/or Linux/Unix operating systems and common business applications.
Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
Prior experience with IT service management (ITSM) tool such as Service Desk is advantageous.
Salary: R25 000 - R30 000 CTC per month
