An opportunity has presented itself to appoint a suitably qualified candidate into the position of Medical Technologist

Job Responsibilities:
Basic and advanced training in all professional duties including result interpretation, QC and practical method and theory.
Identify training needs. Compile andimpliment training plans and competency assessment tools.
Ensure that all tests are reported within the acceptable turnaround times as set out in the goals for TAT.
Compile and follow up daily: Flag, alert and routing list. Service monitor. Unreviewed, completed un-finalized requisitions. Old prelims.
Maintenance logs, temperature logs. H/S logs. • Must be able to handle and work under pressure.
Contact clients with critical results.
Compile & follow-up Pending Result lists for on-site tests, enter, release and finalize .
Job Requirements:
Must be registered with HPCSA and qualified in Clinical Pathology .
Minimum 6 years experience after qualified and registered at HPCSA.
Understanding of laboratory equipment is required.
Receive-, relay queries to suitable personnel, solve advanced queries, help others with queries and do cost estimates.
Inventory control.
Handle added test requests.
