Over the course of fiscal 2022-23, OLG delivered a record $2.5 billion in net profit to the Province of Ontario. OLG is now expanding our horizons even further, with a new strategic direction, to become a world class gaming entertainment leader with a globally admired digital platform. We are ready to take this game to the next level and need a passionate Director, Advanced Analytics to play an important role in the Enterprise Analytics team at OLG, assisting in the advancement of OLG’s capabilities in predictive modeling, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and model operations and support the execution of key enterprise strategies. This role serves as the leader and champion for leveraging advanced analytics techniques to solve challenging business problems. YOUR ROLE IN THE GAME Reporting to the VP, Enterprise Analytics, you will be empowered to:- Define the strategy and objectives for the Advanced Analytics function, helping to inform the overall enterprise analytics strategy and roadmap.
- Lead a team of data scientists and machine learning experts by providing vision, direction and hands-on, day-to-day oversight.
- Design and develop analytics products using predictive analytics and machine learning algorithms, including building and deploying data pipelines, with model explainability and transparency as core components.
- Operate existing set of models that are in production, including monitoring and optimizing model performance and proactively identifying and addressing issues or drift.
- Provide technical, hands-on guidance to team members when developing advanced models, including advising on approaches and writing and reviewing code.
- Champion the use of artificial intelligence and advanced analytics applications across all areas of OLG, consulting with business areas on opportunities and how to effectively leverage these types of tools.
- Partner with other analytics teams as a shared service and advanced analytics center of excellence to engage the business, define business problems, scope requirements, establish plans, select models or approaches, translate technical concepts, and support or lead execution.
- Lead research and development efforts on new analytics tools, methodologies, and approaches to constantly evolve OLG’s advanced analytics capabilities.
- Proactively collaborate across the enterprise with different business units to solve challenging business problems using advanced analytics approaches.
- Communicate with key stakeholders at all levels to translate complex concepts into actionable insights.
- Grow and develop Advanced Analytics talent to keep pace with changes in the analytics technology and industry landscape.
