Working on projects across Australia, you will have the opportunity to work in a diverse range of engagements including strategic assessments, business cases and feasibility studies, economic development initiatives and complex project delivery assignments. Our teammates are working on major cost and strategy transformation for social housing, developing strategies for the future of some of our largest water authorities, planning the future of emerging renewable energy zones or optimising asset performance for a telecommunications carrier You will be joining a team of forward-thinking professionals coming from a range of diverse backgrounds and will have the opportunity to work with some of the most influential and talented leaders in the industry. While every day and project is different, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Solve complex client problems through a combination of analytics and stakeholder engagement, accessing Aurecon’s wider technical expertise to shape opportunities

  • Reevaluating existing business practices and influencing key stakeholders in the development of future state processes and operating models.
  • Assessing investment priorities and the overall impact of changes on various business aspects, including governance, capabilities, and systems.
  • Providing detailed updates to leadership and stakeholders, encompassing statistics, trends, and forthcoming developments.
  • Developing and leading client workshops and aiding in the enhancement of capabilities through coaching, training, and mentorship.
  • Responsible for both producing and ensuring high quality client deliverables
  • Managing a consulting team to achieve the above.

We don’t just claim we’re inclusive and innovative, as proven by the independent awards and accreditations we’ve gained. We’ve been recognised for our innovation culture, gender equality and our LGBTQI+ inclusion. Plus, we have a robust Reconciliation Action Plan – our fourth edition since 2014. On a personal level you’ll have access to flexible work hours, remote work, working holidays, part-time and job share options. When it comes to your development, you’ll be a part of our Advisory Development Academy, and have the option to build your technical mastery in the Aurecon Design Academy which earns you a Graduate Certificate in Design Management from the prestigious RMIT University. Plus, you’ll be supported on every step of your career journey with mentoring, leadership training and our Career Hub. Outside of work, you’ll be further supported with competitive paid parental leave, cultural public holiday swaps, plus wellbeing support programmes. What are we looking for from you? You’ll have a genuine passion for re-imagining problems and continuous learning to help shape the future. We value that each of our team members brings something different to Aurecon. We look for people who have had a broad range of experiences throughout their career and can demonstrate how they have worked as part of a team to bring ideas to life. Alongside your industry experience in similar management consulting, engineering consulting, or equivalent roles, you’ll also have:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., finance, economics, engineering, public policy).
  • 7+ years of experience in infrastructure advisory, management consulting or a related field
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure sectors, including transportation, energy, resources, water, precincts and social infrastructure.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle financial models, conduct risk assessments, and evaluate project feasibility.
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks, government policies, and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) considerations in infrastructure projects.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, both verbally and in structured persuasive writing.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships, collaborate effectively, and work within multidisciplinary teams.
