What is the opportunity?

The Case Manager will predominantly focus on the end-to-end ownership and management of business banking customer related Loan Fulfilment & Pipeline Management activities. This role is suited for someone with Business Banking experience and offers an excellent opportunity for a person with energy, drive and dedication to excel.

In this role, you will

  • Be responsible for the delivery of outstanding service and support to Relationship Managers and their business customers
  • Maintain effective oversight of the status of each Loan Fulfilment case and build and sustain an ongoing, effective, proactive dialogue with individual Relationship Managers in relation to their customers, highlighting applications where issues are apparent, proposing acceptable solutions and workarounds
  • Drive and take ownership for drawing down all facilities on behalf of the RM including all aspects of the loan progression e.g Qualifications on Title, Valuations, Drawdowns
  • Vigorously handle and coordinate all Loan Fulfilment and associated requests received from the portfolio of Business customers, actioning all requests within agreed Service times and to agreed Service Standards
  • Update the tracking system ensuring all case details are input in an accurate, timely and complete manner to ensure the accuracy of the associated MI outputs
  • Examine/analyse credit/security/legal issues that emerge affecting loan drawdowns, collaborating with internal and external supports, and the Relationship Manager concerned, if appropriate, proposing options and solutions
  • Work closely with the other Case Managers and the Regional Team Leads to identify initiatives and implement in a timely manner
  • Continually supervise, progress, and as necessary, advance the resolution of outstanding issues in line with agreed Service Frameworks, proposing solutions and workarounds as the need arises
  • Ensure appropriate system of policies, internal controls, quality assurance, standards and procedures are in place to manage risk and ensure consistency of approach
  • Provide the necessary MIS/Key Performance Indicators on the various stages of the Loan Fulfilment process as required and support the Regional Team Lead in planning the capacity planning for the Region
  • Uphold and protect our risk standards and credit reputation

Although not essential, the following skills and experience would be desirable;
  • Experience in Business Banking or frontline lending/support role, or alternatively in a credit or securities area supporting Business Banking
  • Knowledge of Business Banking products and familiarity with core banking systems/applications.
  • A good knowledge of Risk Management
  • Experience in successfully managing customer and collaborator relationships

Business Banking Client Services (BBCS) is responsible for the delivery of excellent service and support to Bank of Ireland Business Banking Relationship Managers and their portfolio of business customers across Mid, SB&A and Direct segments. BBCS is an evolving diverse team within Commercial Customer Delivery and an opportunity has now arisen for a Case Manager to lead a portfolio in respect of loan fulfilment and pipeline management.
