Facilities Maintenance Assistant (Full-Time) (1 year relevant experience required)

At InterContinental Edinburgh The George Hotel, we have an exciting opening to join our team as a Maintenance Assistant… We are looking for someone who can commit to Full-Time, across 5 shifts per week. Being flexible would be a great plus! We are open 7 days a week 365 days a year and need people to work a range of shifts and days - this means we can offer great flexibility if required. We are paying £13.20 per hour, all overtime is paid for. As a Maintenance Team Member your main duties and responsibilities will be supporting our Maintenance team to work behind the scenes and ensure that our Hotel is a safe environment for guests and team members, working on ad hoc-jobs and communicating with the wider Hotel teams to fix problems when they arise (and predicting them before they do!). We aim to make international travel more alluring by offering a ‘Slice of the InterContinental Life’, providing a sophisticated and cosmopolitan stay for our guests. To be part of our charismatic team…the key skills & experience you’ll ideally already have are: ● Experience working as a Maintenance assistant, Plumber, Electrician or PainterDecorator within a Hotel environment ● Knowledge of Health and Safety and passionate about ensuring a safe working environment ● Willing to learn new things and work as part of our wider Hotel team!
