About the role The Senior Scientific Communications Specialist generates evidence to strategically support adoption of BSC Access Solutions and Electrophysiology technologies. This person will be involved in study design, as well as data analysis and publication, of clinical trials, registries and collaborative research to endorse BSC's high growth adjacencies and key product portfolios. Additionally, a successful individual will establish strong collaborative relations with internal cross-functional partners (clinical, marketing, and R&D) to reinforce commercialization and support product adoption through clinical evidence. Your responsibilities will include:
- Develop and maintain a high level of expertise pertaining to all marketed and pipeline products, as well as a solid knowledge base of current data developments and clinical trends in electrophysiology and structural heart interventions.
- Develop and execute publication and data dissemination plan through the Collaborative Clinical Research, Investigator Sponsored Research, or Clinical Trial programs.
- Responsible for clinical content creation including the preparation of manuscripts, scientific abstracts, conference presentations and posters based on BSC clinical trials and registries.
- Clinical content preparation for symposia (non-CME), speaker's decks and post-meeting slide decks.
- Develops relationships/partnerships with study investigators to support data dissemination and drive project completion.
- Establish strong collaborative relations with internal cross-functional partners (Clinical, Marketing, Medical Education and R&D) to ensure that clinical data is represented accurately and align business needs with publication plan.
- Minimum of a Master's degree in life sciences or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in research (clinical research, medical devices, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology) and peer-reviewed journal publication
- Knowledge of clinical issues associated with cardiology and rhythm management gained through direct or comparable relevant experience in a therapeutic area, scientific or clinical setting is acceptable
- Strong scientific and medical writing acumen
- PhD in a related field
- Successful experience managing projects
- Working knowledge of clinical research life cycle and statistical methods with an emphasis on publication planning and execution.
- Proven record of developing, presenting and publishing clinical and/or scientific data
