Due to an internal promotion, we currently have an exciting opportunity to join our NZ Marketing Team as a Senior Brand Manager, specialising in our flagship brand, Bluebird and extruded products, including Cheetos. This role is responsible for the continual review of strategies and financial performance of the assigned brand portfolio. This SBM role will see you investigating, recommending, and implementing new processes and practices that improve business performance and deliver on KPIs. Responsibilities Reporting to the Marketing Manager (NZ), you will be accountable for: Strategic Leadership to Drive Portfolio Growth:
- Develop and implement mid and long-term strategies for the assigned portfolio of brands
- Lead with insights to develop marketing plans that deliver on net revenue, share and profit growth objectives
- Execute key growth initiatives to deliver the yearly portfolio growth and market share targets as defined in the short and long-term Business Plan
- Proactively identify, develop, prioritize and execute effective product and packaging innovation to drive growth opportunities based on key consumer trends
- Lead investment proposals via developing compelling Business Plan to gain Senior Management approval to invest in expenditure for NPD, where applicable
- Provide thorough measurement and evaluation throughout the various stages of the NPD process
- Identify the strategic objectives and consumer/customer insight to develop a clear integrated marketing communications (IMC) strategies and brief agencies accordingly
- Lead development and evolution of multi-year marketing campaigns
- Lead media strategies and manage execution of media elements to deliver highly effective communication that builds brand equity and maximises ROI
- Measure and track performance vs Brand KPI’s, volume, share and profit objectives
- Liaises with agency partners to develop strong creative, packaging design, activations and media plans across Traditional, Social and Digital Media that also drive eCommerce growth
- Develop effective and integrated working relationship with all agencies (Packaging, Media, Creative, Digital, Promotions, and Experiential) to ensure effective portfolio outcomes
- Build great working relationships with key ANZ team members, enabling flawless execution of initiatives by effectively utilising ANZ shared resources
- Influence key stakeholders to embrace the proposed strategies, ensuring alignment and flawless execution of identified opportunities
- A university degree in either business, management or marketing.
- 6+ years of relevant marketing experience with at least 2 years at a Senior Brand Manager level
- Strong understanding and previous work experience in FMCG industry
- Strong analytical skills to help gain insights for key business decisions
- Demonstrated strong planning and organisational skills to effectively manage and execute multiple projects on time and on budget
- In-depth understanding of NPD stagegate process and experience managing complex projects
- Strong Brand planning skills and confidence/ability to sell then into key stakeholders
- Portfolio strategy development skills
- Excellent Media skills (Traditional and Digital)
