Job Description

AECOM  is seeking a  R2A Sr. Specialist - Compliance  to be based in Manila, Philippines. This role will primarily perform management testing over key controls processes in accordance with U.S. GAAP and other relevant finance standards, procedures, and policies. Responsibilities and Duties: 
  • Monitor compliance of processes and procedures with established policies and key controls by performing audits over specific financial and operational areas of focus.
  • Perform assessments and testing for SOX controls and project review testing.
  • Gather supporting documents for quarterly corporate submissions.
  • Develop and improve process documentation and the annual update of SOX process narratives.
  • Maintain the intranet site and documentation related to finance controls.
  • Support the review and development of processes and key controls for significant risk areas.
  • Contribute expertise and recommendations in developing and documenting remediation plans to address review findings.
  • Support the team lead in conducting training and knowledge transfer for new hires.
  • Escalate issues and recommend resolutions to the team lead for timely resolution. May support junior members of the team in addressing routine issues within the assigned processes.
  • Maintain the SOP/DTP of current processes and incorporate documentation updates as required.
  • Perform moderately complex tasks in compliance with service level agreements, processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Propose alternatives to identified issues and assist in investigating and resolving common and unusual issues.
  • Contribute to various and simultaneous process improvement initiatives to streamline processes, improve the customer experience, and increase productivity.
  • Contribute specialized expertise to different assigned projects and may provide key updates to the team lead and manager.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent relevant courses
  • 4-5 years of relevant professional experience in Finance or Accounting
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Office tools
  • Working knowledge and understanding of accounting standards and procedures and internal controls.
  • Experience working with ERP, e.i., Oracle and Blackline Systems is an advantage or other similar platforms and tools

  • Ability to identify and resolve simple to moderate with the ability to provide resolution alternatives by following defined policies and procedures. (Problem Solving)
