Position: Marketing Specialist Reports to: Product Owner Position Term: Full Time Permanent Primary Location:Mississauga, Ontario, Canada Workplace Type:Remote (Within Canada) World Vision Canada’s Marketing team mission is to deliver a world-class supporter-centric experience across all our channels. Job Purpose: The Marketing Specialist is responsible for delivering world-class, personalized impact content to our supporters through omni-channel platforms, campaigns and media analysis. Support the development, execution, and ongoing monitoring of marketing initiatives. They actively create solutions with the product team members that deliver value to our supporters. Support the overall vision for marketing for World Vision Canada through digital traffic, lead generation, engagement, and revenue goals. They will also be responsible for executing marketing initiatives with their respective team that achieve organizational objectives and drive growth through acquisition and/or retention strategies across owned and operated and campaigns. Responsibilities:

  • Create compelling and impactful creative and technical marketing content for a variety of platforms, including but not limited to emails, digital marketing initiatives, social media posts, website copy, blog articles, videos, and print materials, as needed, to increase brand visibility, web traffic, donor acquisition and retention, ensuring consistency and alignment with the brand guidelines.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, cross-functional teams, external vendors and agencies to provide high-level business support in the planning, creation and implementation of complex marketing campaigns, initiatives and technical solutions.
  • Develop and execute marketing strategies, considering/including but not limited to multiple customer segment preferences, customer personas, channels, technical feasibility, budget, KPIs and business viability, in alignment with business requests.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop testing and strategies to record, ensure cohesive planning and operations, report and execute marketing plans to improve effectiveness, efficiencies, and revenue.
  • Innovate strategies to optimize the customer experience, and increase campaign revenue and ROI. Identify shortfalls and provide recommendations for improvement plans, optimization, and innovation.
  • Manage day-to-day campaigns and operations and acts as the Subject Matter Expert (“SME”) ensuring that business processes adhere to brand guidelines and standards.
  • Support the Product Owner with all related marketing activities, in line with team objectives, organizational priorities, and activity roadmaps.
  • Collaborate with the Analytics & Insight team to monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), reporting on campaign performance, identifying efficiencies, offering insight, identifying, and highlighting opportunities to maximize ROI and achieve marketing goals.
  • Lead key meetings, including business discussions and team meetings, where appropriate, ensuring alignment and integration of marketing efforts.
  • Proactively stay up to date on industry and market trends, supporter engagement strategies, competitive activity, and best practices in marking and fundraising, applying new knowledge to enhance World Vision Canada’s marketing strategy.
  • Partner with World Vision International in rolling out relevant marketing initiatives for the Canadian market as required. Share with other teams (internal and external) about organizational, product and segment information as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Understanding and experience working within an Agile framework, Scrum and Kanban environment
  • Post-secondary education in Marketing, Media, Technology or similar disciplines. (Preferred)
  • 3-5 years of marketing experience. Minimum 3+ years’ of experience in your area of specialization, including but not limited to telemarketing, fundraising, direct mail, print/ digital marketing, media, omni-channel campaigns, campaign management, customer relationship management or business
  • Advanced working knowledge of MS Office Suite, video and image editing tools and an understanding of the web/mobile landscape
  • Confident leveraging analytics tools (Adobe Analytics, GA etc.) to create insights
  • Track record of successful project management, execution skills, and results
  • Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate within teams
  • Working knowledge of development process and project management is an asset
  • A self-directed mindset with the ability to navigate and manage multiple priorities while collaborating with cross functional teams
