My client, a reputable fund with offices in Hong Kong and Singapore, are actively seeking a Front Office Python Developer to join their expanding team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance trading systems and applications that support their front office operations. Your expertise in python programming and financial markets will be crucial in driving the success of their trading strategies and ensuring efficient trade execution. Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with traders, quantitative researchers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into robust and scalable Python-based solutions.
  • Develop and maintain trading systems and tools that facilitate real-time market data analysis, risk management, trade execution, and post-trade processing.
  • Implement algorithmic trading strategies and quantitative models using Python, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Integrate third-party data feeds and APIs to enhance trading capabilities and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Optimize code and system performance to achieve low-latency execution and high-throughput processing, leveraging Python libraries and frameworks.
  • Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and validation of trading systems to ensure reliability, stability, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Monitor and analyze market data, trading patterns, and system performance to identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency enhancement.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure teams to deploy and maintain trading systems in production environments, ensuring robustness and scalability.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in Python, financial technologies, and industry trends to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Document technical specifications, system architecture, and operational procedures related to the development and maintenance of trading systems.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in Python programming language, with hands-on experience in developing front office applications for the financial industry.
  • Solid understanding of financial markets, trading workflows, and investment strategies.
  • Experience with algorithmic trading, quantitative analysis, and implementing trading strategies.
  • Proficiency in working with market data feeds, order management systems, and execution platforms.
  • Knowledge of Python libraries and frameworks commonly used in quantitative finance, such as pandas, NumPy, and scipy.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex challenges.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Prior experience in a front office role within a hedge fund or financial institution is highly desirable.
