Organizational Setting The position is located in FAO Islamabad Office, Pakistan. The main aim of the FAO country office, which is headed by FAO Representative, is to assist governments to develop policies, programmes and projects to achieve food security and reduce hunger and malnutrition, to help develop the agricultural, fisheries and forestry sectors and to use their environmental and natural resources in a sustainable manner. Reporting Lines Under the overall supervision of the FAO Representative and the direct supervision of International M&E Officer/Head of Knowledge Management, in collaboration with the Assistant FAOR Program, project managers of the 10 Billion Tree Project and the Green Climate Fund initiative, the incumbent should have underlined technical capabilities and will be responsible to conduct the following tasks. Technical Focus  Tasks and Responsibilities • Information Management Strategy - develop and implement a sustainable Information Management strategy to ensure timely and information provision to various users. • KOBO Management - Maintenance and management of FAO KOBO Application on cloud-based data server along with form development, trainings, users and data management and quality assurance. • Data Management, Visualisation & Quality Assurance - Collect, compile, collate, verify and analyse data from various sources (program, MEAL, 5Ws, assessments, Govt etc.), ensuring accuracy and completeness. Review of data, cleaning and quality checks/protocols to identify and correct errors, inconsistencies, and duplicates to ensure its integrity and consistency. • Prepare different visualization products (infographics, interactive dashboards etc.) by using advanced Power Point, Adobe Illustrator, and Power BI/ Tableau/Looker Studio. • Databases & API Integrations - Assess stakeholder’s database infrastructure and integration needs, providing tailored recommendations and solutions. Provide ongoing support and maintenance to optimize database performance and troubleshoot integration issues. • Data Security & Protection - Ensure compliance with data privacy and security policies and procedures of FAO (FAO Data Protection Policy) to safeguard sensitive information and implement necessary steps to protect data. • Geospatial Data Integration - Utilize GIS software and tools to integrate these into IT tools, systems and dashboards and to consult geospatial applications and tools to address specific systems development. • IT support - Support the setup and maintenance of information management systems, databases and digital repositories by using different IT technologies/software, including support to Agricultural Climate and Water (ACWA) portal, Pakistan Animal Identification and Traceability System (PAITS), Food Security and Nutrition Information System (FSNIS), Farmers field school (Effs Application), GCF project Management Information System (MIS), and support to 10 Billion Tree Project in Data management. • Web Content Management - Regular update on different web based humanitarian platform (  • FSAWG support – Collect provincial, national and global level data for 5W data collection, analysis and preparation of different IM products (dashboards, infographics, gap analysis, and partner’s presence newsletters, Sitrep etc.). • Perform any other related duties as required. CANDIDATES WILL BE ASSESSED AGAINST THE FOLLOWING • Master’s degree in Information Technology, GIS & RS, Information Management or Computer Sciences with formal training on Information Management and other software Tools. • At least 7-10 years of working experience in data management and analysis with different software’s like SPSS, Kobo, Power BI, Tableau. • Working knowledge of English. • National of Pakistan. FAO Core Competencies Technical/Functional Skills • Certification in different database and software technologies will be added advantage • Advance Computer skills in Office Applications Including Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point • Good analytical and writing skills. • Ability to work harmoniously with people of different national and cultural backgrounds and strong communication skills and strong spirit of teamwork. • Strong command over spoken and written English Selection Criteria • Working experience with UN and/or international organizations in a similar capacity will be an asset. • Capability for planning, organizing and administering and able to work independently and efficiently. • Ability to contribute to data management, quality assurance, analysis, reporting under tight deadlines.
