Job Summary : As the Chief Accountant you will play a vital role in overseeing and managing the financial operations of our organization. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, analyzing data, and providing strategic guidance to senior management. The Chief Accountant will collaborate with cross-functional teams and ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations. Key Responsibilities: Financial Management: Oversee the day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll, and other financial transactions. Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Develop and implement financial controls and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies. Collaborate with senior management to develop financial strategies, forecasts, and budgets. Reporting and Analysis: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs). Conduct financial analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities, revenue enhancement strategies, and areas for improved financial performance. Provide insightful financial analysis to support decision-making processes, investment opportunities, and business expansion plans. Present financial reports and analysis to senior management, highlighting key findings and recommendations. Audit and Compliance: Coordinate and manage the annual external audit process, ensuring the timely completion of audit deliverables and addressing any audit findings. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting principles, regulations, and legal requirements. Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations and implement necessary adjustments to accounting procedures and practices. Collaborate with the legal team to ensure compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements. Team Leadership: Lead and supervise the accounting team, providing guidance, support, and training as needed. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment, promoting teamwork, professional growth, and development. Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members. Identify staffing needs, recruit qualified professionals, and manage the department's workload effectively.

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. A master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA) is preferred. 10 years of proven experience as a Chief Accountant or a similar role in the hospitality industry. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance regulations. Proficiency in using accounting software and advanced MS Excel skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail. Strong leadership and team management skills. Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
