About the Role: Loam is seeking a Carbon Project Finance Lead to support and manage the financing of our pioneering carbon sequestration projects. This role will involve working with capital providers to optimise overall carbon project funding, and managing carbon project finances for subsequent carbon projects to help ensure their financial viability and success. Responsibilities:

  • Work with capital providers to ensure optimal project funding.
  • Develop and manage financial models for both initial and subsequent carbon sequestration projects.
  • Continuously monitor and manage the financial health of ongoing projects, adjusting strategies as necessary to ensure success.
  • Work closely with lenders, investors, and other financial stakeholders to maintain strong relationships and secure ongoing funding.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial management with project goals, technological developments, and environmental impact.
  • Provide financial insights and guidance to support the expansion and replication of successful carbon sequestration projects.
  • Support compliance with any required financial regulations and standards specific to renewable energy and environmental projects.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Business Administration, or higher.
  • Strong background in project or infrastructure finance, with a focus on renewable energy, environmental projects, or carbon sequestration.
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale project finances from inception through to completion.
  • Expertise in financial modelling, risk management, and strategic financial planning.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
