Medical Director, Transitional Care/Long Term Care The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) – Saskatoon is seeking a physician for the position of Medical Director, Transitional Care/Long Term Care. The Medical Director will work in collaboration with the Executive Director and Directors of Continuing Care and will act as a liaison between Transitional Care/ Long Term Care and other individuals and members of the multi-disciplinary team and departments. In addition, the Medical Director will actively participate in the recruitment, orientation, medical human resource planning, retention and evaluation of physicians within Transitional Care/Long Term Care. In addition, will participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures including quality and safety, which includes reviewing and monitoring standards and indicators of resident care. The Medical Director will ensure that physicians providing services in Long Term Care Centers provide a call schedule for after hours care and will foster an environment of open and effective communication with all division members and departments within the SHA.
