A quiet respite from the vibrant city below. We seek a proactive leader with a proven track record in luxury hospitality to continue to steer our team towards excellence. The role will encompass orchestrating the hotel’s daily operations, optimizing financial performance, nurturing talent development, and fostering a culture of innovation. Your ability to drive commercial success through excellent communication skills, hands-on operational experience, and the ability to lead an already exceptional and motivated team. A little taste of your day-to-day:
- Leading all aspects of operational activities of the hotel.
- Ability to manage hotel projects and renovations in a strategic manner.
- Developing business plans to drive owner returns.
- Recruiting, leading, managing and motivating a strong team, upskilling, recruiting, measuring and managing performance.
- Reviewing and implementing strategic initiatives to drive commercial performance across the Hotel and its facilities.
- Prioritizing relationships with guests and external contacts such as current and potential clients, government officials, travel industry representatives, suppliers and local communities.
- Prior hotel general management experience, ideally within City hotels.
- Proven experience in managing challenging projects and hotel renovations.
- Success in driving commercial returns and revenue.
- Genuine team development, guest and owner focus.
- Solution focused, problem solver with ability to be adaptable and think out of the box.
- Strong people person with high EQ to manage a confident and successful teams
- Experience in managing all market segments of MICE and FIT
- Strong knowledge of Food & Beverage
- New Zealand or Australian citizenship
