Job title : Procurement Supervisor jobs in Ogun Job Location : Ogun Deadline : April 22, 2024 Quick Recommended Links About the Role: As the Procurement Supervisor, you will play a key role in leading and overseeing the day-to-day procurement activities, working closely with the Procurement Manager to ensure a smooth and cost-effective supply chain for our foundry operations. Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies to identify and qualify new suppliers for raw materials, consumables, and supplies.
  • Negotiate and finalize contracts with suppliers, securing the best possible terms, pricing, and delivery schedules.
  • Manage supplier relationships, fostering communication and collaboration to ensure reliable deliveries and high-quality materials.
  • Oversee the operational aspects of procurement, including processing purchase orders, managing requisitions, and expediting orders for timely material delivery.
  • Implement and maintain efficient inventory control procedures to minimize stockouts and overstocking.
  • Work closely with the production planning and engineering teams to understand material requirements and forecast demand.
  • Analyze procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities and continuously improve procurement processes.
  • Prepare and present procurement reports to management, highlighting key metrics like cost savings, lead times, and supplier performance.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulations for procurement activities.
  • Stay up-to-date on market trends and industry standards related to material procurement for the foundry industry.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a procurement supervisor or similar role, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of procurement principles, best practices, and negotiation strategies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship management skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
