As an Engineering Manager at, you will be a key driver of our technical projects, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. You will mentor, and inspire a team of skilled engineers, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality, scalability, and innovation.Responsibilities
- Manage a team of software engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative and inclusive team culture.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and technical requirements.
- Set clear goals for the engineering team, aligning them with company objectives, and track progress towards achieving them.
- Provide technical expertise and direction in the development of software solutions, ensuring best practices and high-quality coding standards.
- Oversee the software development lifecycle, from design and implementation to testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Facilitate effective communication within the engineering team and across departments, ensuring seamless coordination and transparency.
- Identify and mitigate technical challenges and risks, making informed decisions to ensure project success.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, recommending advancements to maintain our competitive edge.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, growth, and innovation within the engineering team.
Requirements
- MS/BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or related fields with strong Computer Science fundamentals in algorithms and data structures
- 5+ years of full-time software engineering experience, best to have mobile development knowledge. Strong plus if also knows C++ and backend well
- 3+ years of professional engineering management experience
- Programming experience and understanding of modern technology including: (ReactJS/React Native, NodeJS, Kubernetes, GCP, MongoDB, Docker)
- Experience managing cloud operations for reliability, scalability, and security in GCP/AWS
- Experience recruiting, hiring and onboarding engineering talent
- Strong sense of responsibility; driving initiatives from inception to completion
