JOB OVERVIEWThe Center of Excellence (CoE) Leader is responsible for setting strategic direction, leading a talented technical team to drive technical excellence and innovation within the organization. Provide thought leadership, research trends, support training and mentorship for a certain focus area, promote knowledge sharing to nurture and grow a sustainable internal talent pool and enhance the organization’s capabilities and competitivenessJOB DESCRIPTIONStrategy and Vision:

  • Develop and execute strategies for the particular CoE, aligning with the organization's overall goals and industry best practices.
  • Continuously monitor the industry landscape to identify emerging technologies and trends, and assess their relevance potential impact on the organization. Incorporate these insights into the CoE's strategic roadmap.
  • Regularly review and update the CoE's strategy to adapt to changing technology landscapes and organizational needs.
Technology Adoption and Innovation:
  • Foster a culture of innovation within the CoE, placing a strong emphasis on generating tangible business value through innovative solutions and practices.
  • Drive the adoption of cutting-edge technologies and methodologies, ensuring they are aligned with the organization’s strategic goals.
  • Create compelling business cases for the adoption of new technologies. Highlight the potential benefits, ROI, and risks associated with each initiative.
  • Develop a change management strategy to help employees and the whole organization adapt to new technologies and methodologies. Provide training and support to ensure a smooth transition and manage and mitigate risks associated with technology adoption.
  • Ensure that new technologies and methodologies are effectively leveraged to support the company's competitive positioning and enhance organizational capabilities and competitiveness.
  • Define metrics to measure the success and impact of technology adoption initiatives and continuously assess and report to company leadership the progress and results of these initiatives.
Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including executives, technical leaders, and industry partners.
  • Develop a clear and effective communication strategy to engage with stakeholders.
  • Serve as a liaison between the CoE and other BU/teams, ensuring seamless integration and alignment of technical initiatives. â—‹ Involve stakeholders in technology assessment, planning, and decision-making processes and actively seek their feedback to adapt and refine CoE strategies and initiatives
Team Leadership:
  • Provide dynamic leadership and mentorship to a team of technical experts, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and innovation.
  • Oversee the recruitment, onboarding, training, and professional development of CoE team members.
Project Oversight:
  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of CoE projects/initiatives, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet high-quality standards.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Knowledge Management and Sharing:
  • Establish and maintain a knowledge repository within the CoE, documenting best practices, lessons learned, and technical insights.
  • Foster a culture of knowledge sharing and transfer within the CoE and across the organization.
  • Leverage industry partnerships for knowledge sharing, resource access, and staying updated on industry trends.

Requirements

Education
  • With a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or any related course.
  • Specific certification related to the required Capability/Technical domain (aligned to senior/lead role) is a plus.
  • At least 10 years of experience as an IT Professional
  • With 5+ years experience in a leadership role in the required capability / technical domain.
Required Capability/Technical Domain specific experience (aligned to Senior/Lead role)
  • With a solid hands on background in Software Development, preferably a Full Stack Senior Developer Leader
  • Have managed multiple projects
  • Have handled and managed big projects
  • Experience working in a high-level collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentality.
  • Experience in leading organization capability development, change management and transformation is a plus
  • Demonstrated track record in successful delivery and the application of contemporary IT management practices, methodologies and tools
Skills
  • Must be able to lead and manage a large team.
  • Must have a deep understanding of the capability, business and delivery to set meaningful goals objectives and identify priorities.
  • Proven ability in driving results and accountability of business needs.
  • Must be able to influence multiple stakeholders in working together to reach goals and objectives.
  • Must have excellent time management and organizational skills and experience establishing guidelines in these areas for others.
  • Must have exceptional strategic thinking skills
  • Must have a strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making and commitments
  • Must have sound problem resolution, judgment, and decision-making.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to prepare and deliver technical and business papers, reports and proposals
