The Vice President of Human Resources, APAC will provide HR and business support for the Asia Region, including Corporate, Retail, and Field teams for all countries across the Asia Region. By providing the business with strategic leadership, business support and overall operational excellence, they will lead the implementation of outstanding HR products, systems and services that support the company’s business and financial objectives. This role will serve as senior consultant to the business by building and implementing strong integrated HR in the areas to include but not limited to, talent management, workforce planning, employee relations, performance management, leadership development, succession planning and organizational efficiency.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Partners with business leaders to build and drive human capital strategy for specific areas of the business, in alignment with the overall business strategy
  • Collaborates with Global HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) to deliver HR services and solutions in line with function or business unit strategy (Talent Acquisition, Talent Management & Organizational Development, Total Rewards, HR Operations).
  • Works with business leaders to develop strategic workforce plans in line with the function or business strategy. Helps develop next generation of leaders.
  • Uses data to identify trends and diagnose organizational efficiency issues. Influences leaders to implement changes needed to improve functional performance.
  • In partnership with region and country leaders, develops comprehensive change management strategies to guide the region from current to future state. Drives the execution of these strategies throughout the business
  • Builds dedication amongst leadership towards the performance management program and develops/complete performance solutions in alignment with organizational values.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to all region leaders for ongoing development.
  • Provide guidance and expertise on employment regulations as needed.
  • Ability to develop, analyze and handle HR budget.
  • Performs other incidental and related duties as required

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

  • The ideal candidate will have at least 12+ years of experience in a dynamic human resource role, preferably in the retail and/or consumer markets.
  • Bachelors degree with an emphasis in Business or HR preferred.
  • Experience operating within a global company.
  • Experience working in the footwear industry required.
  • Highly proficient in both spoken and written English.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both internally and externally, comfortable in facilitating meetings and making presentations.
  • Strong discernment, in-depth knowledge of the business and client group, and the ability to successfully implement HR strategies to support business goals.
  • Successfully resolve conflict with a variety of partners ensuring strong working relationships. Strong Employee relations experience
  • Organized and detailed-oriented with thorough follow-up skills.
  • Flexible and able to meet deadlines.
  • Adopts change with confidence. Mentors and coaches HR colleagues
  • Extensive knowledge of the principles and practices of organizational development/effectiveness/behavior with the ability to positively impact the structure, culture and effectiveness of the organization.
  • Ability to collect and synthesize large quantities of both qualitative and quantitative data. Ability to recognize trends and influence leaders based on data analysis.
  • Experience supporting organizational strategy by aligning the vision, mission and values of the organization with individual goals through the performance management platform.
  • Ability to provide coaching and guidance to leaders on a variety of performance related situations or circumstances.
  • Strong computer experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint as well as experience with HRIS systems.
