Our Client a leading bank in Asia with a global network of more than 500 branches and offices in 19 countries and territories in Asia Pacific, Europe and North America are looking for Consultants to be part of the project The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance and planning support and services. They work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Malaysia and overseas branches. The client has more than 80 years of history in the banking industry and is expanding its footprint in Malaysia. The selected resource will be working in a newly setup technology centre located in Kuala Lumpur as part of Technology and Operations to deliver innovative financial technology solutions that enable business growth and technology transformation.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve complex technical issues reported by users or detected through monitoring systems. This involves analyzing logs, code, and system behaviour to identify root causes and implement fixes. • Bug Fixing: Collaborate with development teams to prioritize and fix bugs in the React web application codebase. This includes understanding the codebase, making necessary changes, and ensuring proper testing and deployment. • Performance Optimization: Identify and address performance bottlenecks in the React web application to improve overall speed and responsiveness. This may involve optimizing code, database queries, and frontend assets. • Incident Management: Handle incidents and outages related to the React web application by following established incident management processes. This includes timely communication with stakeholders, escalation as necessary, and coordinating resolution efforts. • Release Management: Assist in the deployment of new releases and updates to the React web application. This involves coordinating with development teams, performing release validations, and ensuring smooth rollout with minimal downtime. • Lead a backend developer team. This involves task designation, monitoring of progress and bottlenecks, facilitate meeting and conduct performance evaluations for the team members, assist team on their queries regarding the system or processes.
