Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

The CEO will be able to manage the strategic, technical, financial, commercial and regulatory operations. Has ability to manage profit and loss responsibility and ensures the highest level of safety, and efficiency, minimizing plant down time and reducing cost of production. The CEO will lead, motivate and empower an established workforce. The candidate will be responsible for setting the strategic direction, managing operations, and ensuring the overall success of the organization. Duties and responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and communicate the company’s vision, mission, and strategic objectives. Provide strategic direction to the executive team and ensure alignment with overall business goals.
• Executive Management: As the top executive, oversee and coordinate the activities of other top executives, including the Chief Operating Officer (COO), Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and other key leaders.
• Financial Management: Work closely with the CFO to manage the financial health of the company. Make key financial decisions and allocate resources to meet strategic goals.
• Stakeholder Relations: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, government agencies, regulatory bodies, and the local community.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry regulations and laws governing energy companies. Stay informed about changes in regulations that may impact the company’s operations.
• Risk Management: Identify and manage risks associated with the energy industry, including market fluctuations, geopolitical factors, and environmental concerns.
• Environmental and Sustainability Initiatives: Develop and implement initiatives to enhance the company’s environmental sustainability and social responsibility. Stay informed about and adhere to environmental regulations.
• Operations Management: Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness. Implement operational best practices to optimize performance.
• Corporate Governance: Uphold high standards of corporate governance and ethical conduct. Ensure transparency and accountability in decision-making processes.
• Public Relations: Represent the company in public forums and media engagements. Manage the company’s public image and reputation.
• Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A): Lead or participate in M&A activities, including identifying potential acquisitions or partnerships.
• Employee Leadership and Development: Foster a positive corporate culture and provide leadership to employees. Develop and nurture talent within the organization.
• Community Engagement: Engage with local communities to build positive relationships and address community concerns. Support community development initiatives.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, renewable energy or other related major from a reputable university. MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
• Proven track record of at least 10 years in executive leadership roles within the renewable energy or related industry.
• Extensive experience in solar development, including technical, financial, and regulatory aspects.
• Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
• A strategic thinker with a forward-looking approach to capitalize on market trends and innovation.
• Experience in negotiations, partnerships, and stakeholder engagement.
• Demonstrated commitment to sustainability, clean energy, and corporate responsibility.
