Job Description AECOM has an exciting opportunity for a Principal level professional to join our Geosciences and Remediation Services (GRS) Team in Auckland. As part of our larger and well-established Environment Group, you will take a key role in delivering excellence on projects covering closed landfill management, transport infrastructure, downstream oil and gas, regulatory peer review, due diligence, stormwater management, and much more. The successful candidate can be located in either our Auckland or Hamilton office. Lead our local team in Auckland and Hamilton. As a member of the GRS leadership team, you will champion quality, consistency and collaboration in the work we do. You will also play a key role in client engagement, developing new clients, winning work, and supporting the continued growth of the GRS business. Qualifications The following qualifications and experience are highly desired, but if you don’t tick all the boxes you could still be a perfect fit for this role. - Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, geology or earth science.
- Sufficient Team Leading/People Management experience
- A minimum of 10 years contaminated land experience with a consultancy, council, or similar environment.
- Ability to scope and cost ground investigations in a commercial environment.
- Strong field experience and understanding of sampling and monitoring a variety of media, including soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, soil vapour and ground gas.
- Ability to supervise field teams and subcontractors.
- Detailed understanding of relevant legislation and technical guidelines, and their practical application
- Willingness to travel, as required, across New Zealand.
