Learn more at Duties and Responsibilities: A- Pricing Duties & Responsibilities 1. Strategic and operational pricing: The senior pricing and tender Planning Specialist will work internally with different functions to support in setting the pricing strategy at level of list and net prices for Janssen in line brands and new launches to maximize patients access across brand life cycle. Provides ad-hoc pricing analyses whenever required. Develop and utilize models to conduct quantitative analysis of price impacts (e.g., develop estimations of future price movements, develop and support pricing models and data reports, inform relevant stakeholders about financial impact of price changes). Provide insights and recommendations on pricing assumptions on selected Janssen brands for key business planning processes: Business Plans & Mid-Term plans. Coordinate the flow of price information and approvals across the KSA organization (support in the development, approval, and documentation of price business cases). 2. Pricing requirements with regulatory authorities: Lead the preparation of price certificates for the registration of new brands and registration renewals of inline existing brands. Close collaboration with regulatory affairs team to ensure readiness and timely submissions to authorities. 3. Reporting and database management Lead the updates of internal pricing systems with pricing information and certificates. Develop data gathering processes to capture competitive pricing in line with applicable SOPs in KSA. Develop and maintain different dashboards to track pricing performance and derive actionable insights. 4. Partnership working Support the pricing and tender Planning lead in pricing negotiations with Health Authorities in KSA. Provide insights to support negotiations with reimbursement bodies. Build partnership relation with key internal stakeholders to provide best-in-class support in line with business requirements. B- Tender Duties and Responsibilities Tendering phase End-to-end tender management Planning phase Responsible for the preparation and regular update of the yearly KSA tender calendar to ensure readiness and timely definition and execution of the tender strategy. Liaise with our distributors in KSA to design an effective tendering process that will ensure fast and effective response to customers’ requests. Invitation to Tender (I.T.T.) receipt and evaluation. Ensures all required documents are received from tender authorities/distributors. Analyze all tender documents to identify Janssen’s items. Analyze and evaluate tender terms and conditions in collaboration with other internal departments. Define the tender strategy & bid/no bid decision in collaboration with other internal departments with the purpose of maximizing the inclusion of Janssen portfolio into tenders. Tender submission Submit the tender offer alongside the required documents as per the communicated timeline. Tender offer negotiation Participate to tender negotiation discussions when requested by tender authorities. Tender award phase Award monitoring Continuous monitoring and communication of tender awards to internal stakeholders to ensure meeting customers’ needs and close any gaps in the tender process. Tender performance Analyze Janssen’s performance and success rates in the tenders where the company has participated and provide internal stakeholders with performance reports. Perform a periodic tender competitive analysis to enhance the maximum potential of all tenders. 2. Database management Responsible for the management, timely update, and improvement of the internal Janssen tender database 3. Direct Purchase Orders Tender manager is also responsible for preparing and submitting quotations upon receipt of Requests for Quotation, in alignment with internal stakeholders.Qualifications Education: Relevant university degree in life sciences, finance, economics, or similar discipline is required. Years of Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with health authorities; or consulting. A former experience in pricing, tenders, business analytics, health economics involving quantitative analysis, or finance is a plus. Language: Excellent written and oral communication skills in English. Arabic is a plus. Experience and knowledge of the healthcare system in Saudi Arabia is a plus but not mandatory. Strong quantitative skills with solid strategic insights. Proven excellent numeric and analytical skills. Advanced level in Excel as well as PowerPoint, Word & Outlook. Strong analytical background with an exceptional understanding of sales & marketing needs required. Strong commercial acumen with the ability to make a significant contribution to products performance and profitability is required. Excellent oral and written communication skills at all levels with the ability to verbalize and write clearly and effectively. Ability to meet tight deadlines and comprehend complex issues in a timely and accurate manner with strong attention to detail. Excellent judgement and problem solving Strong business orientation with good interpersonal skills and a high level of self-organization and self-motivation Creative approach, can-do attitude, and hands-on problem-solving skills, while able to think strategically.
