Our bridge team in the Middle East is experiencing exciting growth and we have a need for a Senior Bridge Design Engineer, who is committed to participating in the delivery of major bridge schemes to support one of our major clients in Qatar. You will be working closely with our exciting client where you will be involved in managing the delivery of a wide range of strategic transport projects. In order for you to fulfil this role you must have excellent knowledge and experience of local standards. In addition, you will need to meet the following criteria: • Develop and implement a comprehensive bridge asset management strategy, including long-term planning, and prioritization of maintenance and improvement projects. • Regularly assessing the condition of bridge assets to identify any defects or damages. • Create maintenance and rehabilitation plans for bridges to ensure they remain structurally compliant with relevant standards. • Manage multiple bridge engineering projects, overseeing operations & maintenance. • Apply advanced engineering principles and practices to address bridge engineering challenges. • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and staff members. • Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, participating in meetings and addressing client needs. • Oversee quality control and quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with industry standards. Here s what you ll need : As a successful candidate Recognized degree with a specialization in Civil/Structural Engineering. Master s degree in structure preferred with experience in bridge engineering, asset management. You will also possess: -• Proficient in using software/tools associated with structural modeling (MIDAS, RM, Structural bridge design) and BIM. • Good knowledge of Euro codes, DMRB and AASHTO. • Thorough knowledge of international specifications and GCC authorities/local municipality requirements. • Experience in design and build schemes would be preferred. • Flexibility to undertake short-term assignments in GCC countries would be preferred. • A team player with an open and approachable nature who strives to help and inspire others within the team. • Tenacity, drive, and determination. • Good communication skills with the ability to develop client relationships are desirable. • Progressing towards achieving membership/accreditation of an appropriate engineering council or body.
