Role & responsibilities Academic growth of the college. Participation in the teaching work, research and training programs of the college. Investigates, evaluates and secures resources. Formulates the plan of action. Selects and organizes learning experience. Determines the number of position and scope and responsibility of each faculty and staff. Carry out all standard duties related to teaching and learning in an academic institution to carry a workload of required contact hours per week. The rest of the time is to be devoted to non-contact aspects of teaching & learning, including programme development and reviews and research & publications. Administration and Supervision of Curricular / Co-Curricular /extracurricular or extra mural activities and Welfare activities of the College and maintenance of records. Supervision of College / University examination, setting of question paper for the College / University examination, moderation, assessment of answer papers and such other works pertaining to the examination as assigned. Assisting in planning and implementation of academic programs such as orientation, courses, seminars, in-service and other training programs. Assists in preparation of College budget and makes recommendation to the management. Procures and maintains physical facilities which are of standard and is consistent with philosophy & objectives of the College. Determines the staff requirement and recruitment of staff in accordance with the policies of the management. Cooperates with hospital department heads and participates in hospital with programs. Ensures accreditation of education Standards at all times. Organizes functions of importance. Offers counselling & guidance to faculty & students. Monitor proper System of records such as Attendance (class clinical),Deficiency / delays, Health records, Cumulative records, Progress records, Transcript etc. Preferred candidate profile Preference will be given to applicants with work and/or teaching experiences in developing countries, and a demonstrated experience in dealing with sociocultural and political diversities. To be considered for this position, applicants must have:
- A doctorate level qualification in Nursing.
- 15 years experience with M.Sc. (Nursing) Medical Surgical specialisation out of which 10 years after M.Sc. (Nursing) in collegiate program.
