Bon Secours Hospital Cork are delighted to announce an exciting and rare opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Manager II in our dedicated Oncology Day Ward. Bon Secours Cork provide cancer services to a large regional catchment area. The range of services encompasses diagnosis, staging and all aspects of cancer treatment. We treat a wide variety of solid and haematologic malignancies. We have an active clinical trials unit, offering a range of international and investigator-initiated studies to our patients. Our consultant medical oncologists and haematologists have extensive medical oncology training within Ireland and at internationally recognised cancer centres. Along with the teams of nurses for our inpatient and day wards, there are Clinical Nurse Specialists supporting palliative care, oncology liaison, triage and clinical trials. *Candidate Requirements:*· Registered in the General Division of the live register of nurses kept by the NMBI · A minimum of 3-5 years post registration experience in oncology · A management qualification is essential · A postgraduate in Oncology/Haematology Nursing or similar · Preceptorship/teaching and assessing of students and junior staff is also essential *Person Specification:*· Excellent interpersonal and team building skills · Must possess strong leadership qualities, communication skills and clinical skills · Fluency in English, both written and spoken · Must be computer literate · Flexibility and excellent use of initiative For more than 100 years, Bon Secours Hospital has been meeting community needs and achieving breakthrough medical advances in care.
